“When you go with Ritchie Bros., it’s all sold that auction”

Alberta-based directional drilling company Absolute Crossings Ltd. are winding down, calling it quits, and using Ritchie Bros. to liquidate their entire fleet.

“When you go with Ritchie Bros., it’s all sold that auction,” said Dean Swanberg, co-owner of Absolute Crossings. “If we tried to sell all this equipment ourselves it could take a year or more.”

On May 3 – 8, Ritchie Bros. will sell more than 250 items for Dean and his partner Don Shipalesky in its massive Edmonton, AB auction. Highlights include a 2010 Vermeer D330X500 crawler directional drill (Lot 2399), a 2013 American Augers DD110 crawler directional drill (Lot 2401), and a 2009 American Augers DD210 crawler directional drill (Lot 2400). All items will be sold without minimum bids or reserve prices.

“It’s all ready to go to a new owner”

“Ritchie Bros. has the best advertising in the business, reaching buyers all over the world,” added Dean. “We like the way they do business—they are fair and honest to deal with.”

Other highlights from Absolute Crossings package include truck tractors, flatbed trucks, oilfield floats, tanks, and hundreds of other related items.

“Our equipment had been well-maintained and looked after,” said Don. “Much of it is specialized gear for our industry and it’s all ready to go to a new owner.”
