Excellent package of construction gear available at Rocky Mountain Regional Event.
One of the oldest pipeline construction companies in the United States is winding down operations and selling a complete dispersal of high-quality equipment and trucks. Sterling Construction Co. of Rifle, Colorado has over 1,000 items selling in the upcoming Rocky Mountain Regional Event on Aug 4-5.
Pat Simpson, the manager of Sterling, took over the business from his father who started the company nearly 70 years ago.
“I started working for my dad 50 years ago; summers before that,” said Pat. “I’ve been associated with the business since I was old enough to walk. I took over full-time management in the late 80s.”
Now at the age 70, Pat is looking at the next phase of life.
“I have been doing it my whole life” he said. “I just decided to hang it up and see what it’s like to not wake up every day thinking about it. It’s all I’ve known my whole life, so it’s going to be an interesting transition.”
Over 1,000 items available – everything needed to start a construction business
Sterling’s consignment package is a high-volume package that includes practically everything you could possibly need to get into the building business. Among the selection will be 50+ excavators, 20+ Caterpillar dozers – including 5 Cat D8Ts – 10+ motor graders, 30+ Caterpillar pipelayers, 40+ flatbed trucks, 25+ van trailers, and more.
Pat Simpson says his company took pride in ownership with regular maintenance.
“It’s cream-of-the-crop equipment and has always been maintained very well,” said Pat. “There’s also some old stuff there, but it will still make you money.”
