Ritchie Bros. 2016 Hackathon: improving on-site experience through innovation.

Careers 비평

Tech teams go toe-to-toe to innovate for our customers around the globe.

On December 15 & 16, Ritchie Bros. held its annual Hackathon at its headquarters in Burnaby, BC, Canada – many of the ideas will be considered for future company sponsored projects.

As Brad Cumiskey, Director, Digital Product Development states, "A large aspect of our business is conducted out of our physical auction locations; we are continuously seeking out technology solutions that will make a positive impact onsite."

"The hackathon creates an energy where numerous creative ideas come to life in a very short period of time. The event is open to our technology teams across the company, it connects diverse minds from around the world, with participants this year from Canada, US and India. These teams collaborated with one mission: innovation at Ritchie Bros." explains Brad.

The winning criteria was based around: creativity, technical prowess and wow-factor.
